OS9, Tiger and Filemaker

Hi all,

OSX newbie question. We just bought an iMac G5. We have a network of OS8, OS9 and OSX (panther) machines. We use Filemaker as our database program.

I am able to connect from the Tiger machine TO the OS9 machines. And I can connect from the OS9 TO the Tiger machine by using Appleshare, but ONLY if I use the Tiger machines name and password.

Can someone point me in the direction of what would be the equivelant of "users and groups" in OS9 for the Tiger machine? I've seen the areas of setting up multiple users, but took this to mean users of the computer, not necessarily "guests".

We will be using the Tiger machine as our Filemaker server so each computer will have to be able to access/ read/ write those files.

Thanks.

Mike

ETA: we use FM Pro 4

I should add also that our network is an Ethernet network through a hub connected to a DSL router.

And when I connect from an OS9 machine to the Tiger machine using the Tiger's name and password, the user can access the entire HD. Obviously, I will on want them to have access to the folder containing FM files.
