OS9 Won't Finish Launching From OSX

When I attempt to launch classic while in OSX, it launches the window, runs through the icons along the bottom and the bar almost reaches the end... but never does... and it just spins.... and spins... and spins... and never actually finishes launching the Classic environment. I have read before to trash the "servers" folder in the System Folder, and did... but it still doesn't work. It starts up fine if I choose 9.2 as my Startup Disk... but I can't get to OS9 from OSX.

Any ideas....?

Thanks in advance.

At what extension does it seem to pause at? What is the last extension icon that shows up?

It could be that you did not trim the OS 9 extension manager to optimize for Classic.

OS X is the master. There are many extensions in Classic that is not needed because OS X has taken it over.

Boot up in OS 9 and bring up the Extension Manager(Apple menu>Control Panels>Extension Manger) Now scrolling down uncheck these:
Control Panels:
Control Strip, Energy Saver, File Sharing, Infrared, Location Manger,Modem, Monitors, Mouse, Multiple Users, Password Security, Remote Access, Software Update, TCP/IP and Web Sharing.
Extensions:
Turn off everything containing DVD in its name.
Disc Burner Extensions,DialAssist,Internet, Location Manager Extension, Apple Modem Tool, Modem, LDAP Extension, NBP Plugin, NetSprocketLib, Remote Only, Shareway IP, Software Update Extension.

If you will not being using Classic for games, then the Video extensions can be turend off. this includes all OpenGL, QuickDraw, NVIDIA and ATI extensions.

Now save this new set as Classic Speedy. Reboot in OS X and you should be okay.

no dice... still have the same problem. It just won't finish starting... doesn't crash, but it won't finish.
