When I log onto my G4 with correct name and password the login screen goes to blue then desktop background but instead of launching the system it reverts back to my blank login screen.
I have done the usual disc utilities thing and ran the 10.4.11 combo updater on the HD to no avail.
I did notice when I booted from the OSX DVD my HD had no name under it's icon but my external drive did.
Any ideas folks. It's driving me mad.
