Printing eps and tiff files out on a hp laserjet 4000 causes the printer to print pages and pages of garbage. Everything else prints fine the osx is 10.3 and 10.4 and the 2 programs being used are quark6 and photoshop 7, the color laser printer next to it prints fine I think it's a hp laser jet 5550.Any boby having problems with hp printers.

I'm always having problems with the hp 4000's in my office.
Try this first: In the system preferences, go to Print & Fax. Select the laserjet 4000 and delete it (by clicking the "-" at the bottom of the list of printers) then, click the "+" and select your laserjet 4000 from the menu that comes up. It will search for new drivers automatically. When it's done thinking, click Add. Try to print a problem file again.
Let us know if that works. If not, there's a few more things we can try.
