Mac addict but disapointed.
I got a Dual 800 with 1,1GoRAM, It's the third time I install OSX.1.2 and I still crash. My last install was yesterday (20-01-02) ; everything seems to be ok but this morning (I've let my computer on all night) after one hour work it crash again and as usual quite badly (unix screen).

As usual I boot up in single user and as usual I pass throught fsck -y, and as usual it tells me about bad alocation block memory (in catalog file, in multi linked file : well I had quite all the alocation block file problems). What can I do (I don't want to go back to 9, now it's impossible OSX it's so beautifull, cool, powerfull...).
Aqua is so great and I'm feed up with this unix black and withe screen.

Can someone help me ?

until someone who really knows this stuff comes along and offers more help, it might help for you to do a search of the site for 'kernal panic'. this is most likely what you are getting. there are many threads here that will give you clues as to what might be causing it. it almost always has to do with hardware. incompatible ram is a pretty common cause. if you have upgraded your memory, this would be a good first place to check.

if the kernel panic says something about "HITtoolbox" check your usb devices.... I have a scanner (AGFA Snapscan Touch) that casues kernel panics more often than when Orville Redenbocker runs out of popcorn.

if the screen says something about "Exec_Bad_Access" it is probably ram.

hope those two tidbits help... for me... even with the occasional kernel panic in OSX, i wouldn't think about booting in 9.
