My boss bought a dual G4, 533 MHz, 1 GB of RAM, CD-RW drive, 40 GB HD, Airport, and a 15" Studio display, with Apple Pro Speakers. And Jaguar. And an ATI Radeon 9000. For our use at work.

I've never used a G4 ... Fingers Crossed, if my financing application is accepted, i shall be getting Dual 1.25Ghz with 17" Studio Display ...
But like, is the difference REALLY this big?! ... i've only used X on my iBook 500 / 320mb

Everything launches in around a bounce.
Finder is 3x faster.
Video encoding is 10x faster.
So yeah, I'd say the difference is pretty large.
