is there a way to keep a network shared folder that allows group rwx permissions from inheriting an owner, for instance i have a network shared folder and theres a server and 2 work stations, the server has 3 users, two for the workstations, say workstation 1 puts something in the shared folder and then workstation 2 needs to delete the item but os x will give an insufficient access privillages error message, is there anyway to make items automatically not inherit owners on items? if so who will then own the file?
