Pages not formatting properly

I need to format a manuscript in the following way:
Times New Roman, 12 pt font, double-spaced, 25 lines to a page, 1 inch margins. I cannot figure out a way to get those 25 lines and have even close to a 1 inch margin. When I worked in Word, I could turn on line numbering, to at least check my manuscript, but am at a loss in Pages. I have to have 25 lines to a page and close to (at least visually) 1 inch margins.

You don't need Word or line numbers; you need math. You also need to show the Inspector:
  1. Click the Document icon in the Inspector.
  2. Set your margins to 1 inch on all four sides.
  3. This creates a 6" x 9.5" text box. You may also consider it to be 432 pts x 684 pts.
  4. Click the Text (large T) icon. To get 25 lines/page, you must set your line spacing so that only 25 lines can appear on each page. Therefore, (684 pts/page)/(26 lines/page) = 26.36 pts/line. You need your typesize and linespacing to total 26.30 pts. I find that it works best at 26.0 pts.
  5. Click the Text tab. Set your line spacing to exactly 26 pt.
  6. Bob's your uncle.

Thank you for this information, I really appreciate you taking the time. Unfortunately, I am not sure where to enter the numbers you gave me. I did the one inch margins and get a 6.5 by 9.5 place to write. But when I click on the TEXT tab, I have these choice:
Spacing: 0%
Line: 2pt (under that the word Double)
Before paragraph: 0 pt
After paragraph: 0 pt

I don't know where to enter your numbers...Hope I'm not sounding completely stupid...I have a 350 page manuscript and it makes a huge difference if I only have 22 lines not 25.

I can't believe I didn't realize the double was a menu...I guess it will take time to learn this Pages program... Thanks for taking the time to help me.
