Panther Giving Me Bull

I just reinstalled Panther Full and did all the updates and when i try to install a simple game i notice my windows pause then freeze and then my mouse stops. I hard restart the computer then it doesnt wana start. So on my 2nd try it works. I dont know what else or why this bullshit is occuring!

Why so many installs? I always repair permissions after an update. What system do you have?

Is this your 7th clean install, in which your entire hard drive is erased? In that case, there may be a hardware problem. Do you have any 3rd party RAM in your machine? If so, see what happens when you remove it and leave only the Apple-installed RAM.

This feels more like a problem with the Hard Drive... if you have a diagnostic CD that came with your machine, use it, as it should be able to check the HD for bad connections/etc. Tech Tool Pro 4 should be able to do a hardware diagnosis as well.
