panther on sec. partition

Right now I am running 7B74 on the primary partition of my tibook 60GB disc (splitted into two partitions; each 30GB).
To avoid any problems, I would like to install panther on the second partition to keep my current beta system as a backup.
Could this cause any problems or does panther (or any other mac os) not care on which disc or partition it is installed?

It shouldn't matter what partition it is on, I kept a copy of panther (beta) on the 3rd partition of my powerbooks hard drive when I was playing with the betas and it worked fine.
