This seems odd to me but maybe it's normal. When inserting a disc into my PB 550 CD-DVD drive about a 4th of the way in, it gradually pulled the disc in the rest of the way evenly and with little noise. The disc ejected very much the same way. With my PB 667 DVI CDRW-DVD drive, the disc must be inserted about 7/8 the way in before it is quick sucked in and rather loud to. The disc is shot out quickly and loud as well when ejected. Perhaps since the drives are different this is normal and I'm just not used to it. Other than the difference in drive behavior between the two PowerBooks, it seems to function just fine. Would anyone else with a DVI PB comment on if this is normal or not? Thanks.
