Newbie here and would like to get some help in figuring out what to do.
I recently acquired an IPAD and an IPhone 4 is on the way.
I have not yet been able to sync my IPAD since there is a software issue and i am assuming that i will face the same problem with the Iphone 4.
After downloading the most recent version of itunes, I tried syncing my IPad but it tells me i need OS 10.5 or higher.
Question is, can i upgrade to 10.5 easily? What do i have to do and what particular retail disc do i need?
I have a PowerBook G4 15" with the specs below.
Software Version: Tiger 10.4.11
Processor: 1.67 GHz PowerPC G4
Memory: 1 GB DDR2 SDRAM
Machine Name: PowerBook G4 15"
Machine Model: PowerBook5,8
CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (1.5)
Number Of CPUs: 1
CPU Speed: 1.67 GHz
L2 Cache (per CPU): 512 KB
Memory: 1 GB
Bus Speed: 167 MHz
Boot ROM Version: 4.9.6f0

Thanks is advance

No problem in upgrading! you'll need a retail copy of leopard,"black disc".You should be able to find this online. For best results, up your memory to 2 gb.which is the max.Leopard likes a lot of ram. After you have done all this you should be good to go.Enjoy your IPad!

The "Black retail disc" part is very important, none of the "Grey" model specific versions you'll find on the likes of Ebay will work.
