PC Problem

I have a Dell Inspiron, and I am running Windows XP on it. However, my school is running MAC OS X. I have been trying to log on to one of the servers using my logon name and pass. but it will not allow me to. Anyone who has any clue on working with this problem, please private message me. Thanx.

what method are you using to log on?

I am going to Network Places and then View Workgroup Computers. When I see the server that I want to logon onto, I open it, and it prompts me for a Name and Password, when I go to enter it, it goes to process it and then prompts me again.
