Permission to run Classic

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have installed OS 10.1 on my iMac and when I log on as administrator every thing seems to work well until I try and start the Classic mode. At that stage I receive the message

"You do not have sufficient permissions to run Classic from /System/Library/CoreServices. Please correct permissions and restart Classic."

I have no idea what I am meant to do; I have visited the /System/Library/CoreServices folder but nothing jumps out at me and besides, I am logged on as the administrator, how much more permission can you get ?
Any suggestions?

Regards, H.L. Smith

Try booting is OS9 and turning off all privacy's there. Do you have Multiple Users turned on? Any other means of protection? Dunno but that might be it ...

anerki,

Thanks for your reply.
I got to the stage that I was tired of going round in circles so I went right back to the beginning; reformatted the hard drive, reinstalled 9.1, then 10.0, then 10.1 and now it seems to work just fine.
Do I like computers or hate them?

Since you reinstalled both Classic and X, I'd say you love 'em! And don't you dare telling me you don't :)
