The setting for Personal File Sharing keeps going to off.
I have even locked the properties page and it will just turn off by itsself.
But not always. It will work for a while then all of a sudden go off.
I was able to resolve this issue temporarily by trashing the network preferences folder. But it still gave me problems down the road. I ended up doing a reinstall and everything is fine now. Not what you wanted to here but I couldn't find anything else that helped.
I found the issue. I had to go into Disk Utility and verify permissions on the disk and then repair permissions on the disk. Then file sharing worked great.
