Phone Tools for Powerbook.

So I don't know whether to post this under Software or Hardware.

What I would like to do is use my 12in PB G4 1.33Ghz as a Phone. I would like to function like a phone and a voice mail box. I have been looking and trying to work with different softwares like ABDialer, Jon's Phone Tools and some others.

I can hear the opposite person talk when I use these tools, but they can't hear me.

Is the PB Hardware capable of acheiving the task?

Should do, the Powerbook has a built in Microphone. Make sure you're using it. Go to Prefernces>Sound>Line in or Microphone.

The mic is on and I can see the sound level go up and down while I am trying to use the different phone tools, but still the person I call can't hear me.

I was reading something about the type of modems that the PB's have. Does that have anything to do with the problem?

Skype, but it's $$$ for Skype Out (to household phones instead of skype users)
