photos gone from Iphoto

My photos are all gone from Iphoto, but the files exist on Finder in the Pictures file... how can I get the photos back to Iphoto?

If that doesn't do it, you can rebuild the iPhoto library, after first backing it up to another drive (just in case). Then restart iPhoto while holding down the Option and Command (/⌘) keys. Keep them down until prompted to rebuild the library. Tick all the boxes and click 'Rebuild'. Now make yourself a cup of coffee/tea/cocoa and wait.
