And to continue my never-ending rant on suck ass Quartz speed...
So PS7 is finally almost here. I can't wait to have AI10-like molasses speed with zooms, grabber hand moves and the like. I've always wanted my productivity cut in half. Woohoo!
Actually, what's the feedback on the "Betas"? Is the speed pretty good as far as graphics layer actions (not rendering)? I want smooth scaling, moving, etc. not this nonsense from other cocoa apps.
Here's hoping Adobe proves me wrong, though PS being a bitmap-based app might be a whole different thing then say AI.

PS7 is smooth as silk under OS X. The interface, the image redraws, etc. It performs better under X than 9 on my machines.
As for the problems you mentioned with Illustrator... Adobe is aware of it and they are working on fixing the speed issue in an update for it soon.
