hi,
i have an old pismo that still works great.
it's running debian, and is used mostly as a portable a/v jukebox and tv around the house/kitchen/bath/bed...
there's also a partition with tiger that i sometimes use.
since recently, when i boot into OSX, there's no sound coming from the speakers anymore. when i plug in a headphone, that works fine.
i have the idea it's related to the debian install, as if yaboot altered some openfirmware parameters, disabling the speakers to suppress the boot-chime,
but resetting openfirmware/zapping-pram etc.. doesn't help.
in tiger, audio-prefs show 'headphones' as the only output option.
isn't that called something like 'internal' usually?
everything else (like Audio Midi Setup) looks normal..
anyone familiair with this behaviour?
