Place to sell books?

Hey all,

I'm trying to sell off some old books that I gathered during my undergraduate years. Does anyone know of a good place to sell them? I've tried Blackwells (I'm in the UK) and they don't accept a lot of the books, since they aren't textbooks. Most are technical computing books, like Mastering Delphi, Visual C++.NET programming, etc. I've thought of ebay, but hoping for better avenues.

Cheers for any input.

I would suggest you print a list and place it on the advertisment board in the engineering school... I know it's not as fancy as eBay, but it may be more efficient.

I've used http://www.webuytextbooks.com/ in the past and it was really easy, and well organized.

I highly recommend it. I haven't sold any of my engineering texts since i need them for reference, so i'm not sure how it'll work out for you. Give it a shot though

Do you accept books from outside the United States??

No, we only accept books from individuals residing inside the United States.

The thing is, I don't know what's a good price to charge for them. If I leave them on a place like Ebay, people will generally bid and can pay what they think the books are worth. It also doesn't hurt that a website will get loads more views.

Oh, and thanks for all the input so far. Isn't Half.com part of Ebay? How is that different from selling stuff on ebay?

Half.com is more or less just one bit "Buy It Now" version of eBay. You specify the price and people buy if they want. Same with Amazon's version of selling used books.
