===============

Fun anyone?

from a graphic-design geeks POV, i like the way they are using the typeface used by microsoft for the first x-box.... (and spiderman and tons of other stuff about 4 years ago....)

I thought I was the only one getting the Spiderman 'hit' on that. LOL, I've really enjoyed my PS1 and 2. I look forward to getting the 3 as well. I'll happily wait a year...I like how MS is calling the new XboX, the 360. It seems like they are trying to make it the 3rd one (Three - Sixty), like PS 3. :confused:

It will be cool to see how these new round of game systems turn out...

Huh. Nice clean look, yet still has it's own style about it.

Controller- looks aesthetically dumb, but is probably pretty comfortable.

Now I just can't wait for Nintendo's Revolution to one-up MS and Sony. :D

Now THOSE look like next-gen game screenshots! The Xbox 360 pics I've seen looked Dreamcast-quality, but these look really nice. The first screenshot on the linked page looks very nice. The buildings look gorgeous, the car is smooth and the reflections on it are nice., and there is no aliasing (although that may be because it's scaled down from HD; I dunno). I really want to see close-ups of people (specifically faces and hair), though. It's hard to tell how good those characters look when they're so small. But I'm definitely NOT impressed with the walking animation of that guy on the left. What, is he in a marching band or something? Weird.

I'm really taken aback by the new boomerang controller, though. Not only is it ugly as sin, but it's BIG, and it doesn't seem to offer anything functionally different from the old controller (which isn't much of a surprise in and of itself). I didn't think they'd change their mostly successful design if they weren't adding new buttons. And I just can't imagine why any controller would need handles that long when the buttons/sticks are choked up so far to the top.

Still holding my breath for what's coming from Nintendo. So far, PS3 has the lead in my book. Xbox 2 (I'm not calling it "360"; it's annoying) has me yawning so far.

For some reason I didn't think the PS would evolve into something this nice. Granted, the controller is ugly as sin, but those specs look crazy compared to the Xbox 2's.(Yeah, 360 annoys me too) The screenshot of street looks amazing. Everything just looks "right" -accept the guy- even down to the reflections in that gas tanker. I'm part of GameSpot, so I've seen real Xbox footage, and honestly its not incredibly impressive. Maybe when this baby comes out, I'll say "Screw you, Microsuck!", and buy a Sony! :D

I just saw some pics of the Revolution.....very old-school Nintendo with the angular look, but nice.

I showed my wife a picture of the PS3 and she said "Ok, we're buying THAT when it comes out." ::ha::

I want to see which will perform the best once all 3 are officially out...although after being burned by Nintendo wiht the N64, I might not consider them.
