Plug-in for MIME type

Sorry for asking a question about plug-ins yet again.

I've been unable to access the answers to similar questions on this site.

I have a Mac OS X 10.4

I don't have Microsoft. I have got REAL PLAYER & FLIP4MacWMV

I'm still unable to play internet videos with MIME type content. How do i get the plug-ins for MIME?
 
The first thing that you need to understand is that everything is a MIME type, from plain ASCII text to a 3D virtual walk-through. The issue is which MIME type. This error message is usually generated because the website uses an ActiveX control. ActiveX is supported only under Windows. If you are using a Mac or Linux, then you are SOL.

Caveat: This is an educated guess. I would need a link to the actual page to see if this is really the problem.
