Pocket CD-r from Sony Camera unrecognized

When I try to load a pocket CD-R from a Sony Digital Camera (the mini CD's), It asks whether I would like to Initialize the disk. I am using a G4 with cd-rw (Maybe Superdrive, im unsure)
Do I need specific software to recognize the disc as formatted?

I don't think the SuperDrive can read the mini CD's.
Did you format the CD before taking pictures?
 
I just read your Question. The same as mine, same computer and same OS. Per Sony we need the UDF Reader (Uniform Desk Reader) available at www.roxio.com. However that works fine on my. Imac running 9.2.2 not my new Imac with 10.2.2 see my question (themachead)
