Portfolio deleted a folder full of stuff...

Sorry, I was distraught when I posted that...
I was creating some folders for storing and organizing files in Extensis Portfolio.
Well, there is a button thats says delete in the controls for organzing FOLDERS... it however deletes all the files in the folder as well without giving a warning.
So I need to recover the files that were deleted.
They are or rather, were on a separate partition and i am trying to avoid writing data to the drive until I am sure that I cant recover.
I could really use some help here.
