Porting WASTE

I downloaded this program called WASTE. There is a pre-compiled windows client as well as the source code.

Unfortunately I know nothing about porting software. I can compile source code for command line programs and simpler stuff...but I have no idea where you would begin to port a program that runs in the window environment.

its a secure file sharing / chat program for use among private groups of people. I would love to see this ported to OSX... it would be great for collaborating on projects with people.
