Possible Virus?

Okay I'm thinking that my iMac 20" (a1224) has a virus after I started playing with Limewire...When I press the power button the only thing I receive is the Apple logo and the spinner below it as if something is about to happen but it never does. I even let it sit overnite hoping for something and no results. I purchased the computer from some random so there is no disc. I just need to know if there is some type code to key in because I know I'm not able to get technical support from the Apple Store without the proper information

Since there _are_ no viruses for Mac OS X, it's rather unlikely. Rather, I'd suggest you either get the original installation disks or you buy a new set of retail installation. Snow Leopard is around the corner, but you can also get Leopard. I'm not sure what "a1224" is. If it's an intel machine, 10.5 should be fine (as long as it has 1 GB of memory, I'd suggest). You'll need a system installation disk able to boot your machine in order to perform any further testing and repair.
