Powerbook 'clicks' as I move the lid...

Hey, this is REALLY annoying me.

Basically, for a few weeks it's been happening. I move the lid, and I get this AWFUL click, or crack, as the lid moves. It sounds horrible.


And now, even worse, when I type, the powerbook moves so slightly. Now, I get frequent cracking, of the lid moving. It's just so annoying. Any idea what's causing it? A joint?

New Powerbook - call Apple.

Ever since I got my 12" PB back from Apple (for a logic board repair) the hinge has creaked like crazy. Its really loud. Now that I am thinking about it the buttons to control brightness work when they want to. Looks like its time to send the PB back to Apple again.

How long is the warranty? Without Apple Care Plan?

My Powerbook is doing this. I have one of the new powerbooks, which i got in April if i remember correctly. At some point I will show the problem to a "Genius" at the Apple store - but for now it does not bother me too much.
