Powerbook g3 not starting.

I don't know which forum to put this in really, so i'll just put it here.

I have a powerbook G3 (it does not have firewire or USB ports). Whenever I try to turn it on, nothing happens. I get no chime and nothing appears on the screen. I looked on Apple's site and found that if you hit the reset button located on the back of the laptop, it will help. I tried this last night and the computer started up. It seemed to be working fine. I tried a disk check and it said everything was fine. I should also mention that a few months ago i was trying to get it to work and found that when i hit: ctrl + fn + shift + power - it sounds like the fan is running and the little light above the power button turns on. Sometimes, it will do this for a long time (or until I hit the same key combo again) and other times it stops right away. I found that after doing this key combo, the computer sometimes turned on. Anyway, after shutting down my computer last night, I left it plugged in and I when I woke up this morning, the fan was running and the light was on. And I did not do the key combination after I shut the computer down! And now, the computer wont even turn on.
By the way, this mac is running Mac OS 8.6.

I hope someone can help me with this problem.
Thanks.

Everything except resetting the PRAM, which I think I may have done a few months ago. I wont be able to do it again until I can turn the computer on again...

Any other ideas?
