Hey!
I have some trouble with my powerbook! Sometimes when i close the lid for the powerbook to sleep, the little light starts flashing as it is supposed to, but the powerbook then suddently starts up again(quits sleeping) even thougt the lid is closed etc. If I leave the lid closed, it will after a while atempt to sleep again, the light starts flashing one more time, but then it wakes up again!! This only happens sometimes and some other times it works as intended to. What could be the problem, Anyone??
Seems as if something running on the computer prevents it from sleeping, but i havent yet found out what it could be, and i use the same applications all the time!

Which version of OS X do you have? 10.3.8 update solved some deep sleep issues on some Powerbooks. Maybe applying that could resolve it.

Has it started to occur suddenly, or slowly .. and when did you notice it the first time?
Have you had your Powerbook ever taken apart for doing anything for the screen?

You may need to delete some preference files. So, go Library > Preferences > SystemConfiguraton, and delete the com.apple.PowerManagement.plist and com.apple.AutoWake.plist files. If the latter file is not present, then go user name > Library > Preferences, and delete the com.apple.systemuiserver.plist file. Reboot after deleting these files.
