Hey. I'm a PC/Windows tech, and I got an iBook, late 2004, a few months ago. I guess that the OS X partition was corrupt, so I ither needed to repair it with the installation disk(s), or to wipe it out and re-install. Now me not having any disks, the obvious awnser was to format, that is save for forking our $110+ for Tiger, so I went to my good friends at Google, and searched for a decent flavour of Linux. I settled with openSUSE KDE, but not all things can be perfect. Come to find out, my AirPort Extreme doesn't work, and I just had the one file that I needed to make it work not 4 hours ago!! See, in Linux, there is no firmware file built for the AirPort Extreme yet, but there is an alternative. To save your time and mine, the whole explanation is here:

As you can see, this is very frustrating for me, because I've scoured Google for a copy of the AirPort drivers/firmware. If anyone could copy one of their system drivers for me, I would be so, so happy. The dir from the root of your HD is:

Code:
/System/Library/Extensions/AppleAirPort2.kext/Contents/MacOS/AppleAirPort2
