Powerbook Lombard VS. Balkin wireless PC card

I recently bought a belkin wireless cardbus card, and I know that the lombard has a cardbus/PCIMCwhatever, type 1 and 11 slot, but the question is, well, the card doesn't work it it loads is recognized as an airport card, but cant find any networks, and on the book it says it is a cardbus 32 bit slot, so my question is, what is in the powerbook, was theres something before cardbus 32 bit, like idk cardbus 16 bit or something. OH and the powerbook is a Powerbook g3 333
