Ok with the other problems fixed ive come across another problem with the powerbook i have.

The screen seems to work fine alot of the time but over time it starts to go very weird like its not getting a signal properly. Pictures are here:

The fix is just to move the screen back abit and it works ok. It seems to do it by itself most of the time.

I know that the cables arent coming lose on the screen or on the motherboard. Not sure if it could actually be the cable or not.

Anyone know what could be the problem?

Thanks Paulo

I certainly would find out if the wires are lose, or the plastic coating has rubbed of before you do permanent damage. If you are comfortable with taking the PB apart, go for it. If not, I would have some one take a look at it.

Umm ive opened both the screen and the powerbook. Ive noticed my screen (its on a Ti dvi powerbook) hasnt got any kind of sticky glue lots of people talked about.

The wire that connects to the motherboard might have the sticky tape (or this rubber coating) around it abit worn off... you think this could be the problem? What could i use to check this? (sticky tape?)

I am not certain. Common on those model, is the problems you are experiencing.
If you have electrical tape, that may be what you need to correct the problem. In a sense, what you need is some thing to isolate the wires from shorting out, and causing serious permanent damage.

Well ive taken it apart both the screen and the powerbook and used tape to make sure the wires secure and isolated where it touches the motherboard but still doesnt seem to of helped.

Found it. Where the screen cable plugs into the motherboard one of the solders on the connector on the side has come lose. So going to try solder it back.
