PowerbookG4 & OS X leopard

I recently installed leopard ... I noticed my iphoto would not open so I found online advice to use my original startup disk to reinstall iphoto and imovie. I chose to save my "previous system" during reinstall. Once done, my mac would only start in 10.3 (original sys.) so I reinstalled 10.5. Now, on startup leopard starts but nothing as far as e-mial,ical,iphoto is there. I can't even open finder due to something running in the background which is sucking up all battery life. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Ouch. I'd suggest you back up your system now if you haven't already.

Then install 10.5 again, but use the "Archive & Install" option with the "Preserve Users & Network Settings" option checked. NOTE: These are exact terms from the 10.4 installation since that's still what is ingrained in my brain, therefore the words may be a touch different in the 10.5 installer, but I guarantee those options are present in the 10.5 installer.
