PowerPC technology to be used for...

I think the "cell" is being manufactured by IBM for Sony's PS3, and is this really that impressive for 1,000 PowerPC microprocessors only performing at 2 teraflops? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the 2,200 PowerPC supercomputer at Virginia Tech is performing around 17 teraflops....hmmm....

There's another thread on this, 512 g5s or something, too lazy to get the link,. The cool bit about it is it runs at room temperature and doesn't need it's own power substation. It is a prototype for an entreprise set-up, supercomputer power for a mid-sized corporation...

And so is the Xbox.

You know that's what I heard in rumor form but that rumor kinda left after this was released along side IBM's own press release. The Xbox isn't mentioned in either as a console to be founded of the PowerPC processor.

Actually, the Xbox uses Intel. But the next console from Microsoft will be powered by a PowerPC processor. This is no rumor, as Microsoft and IBM announced it.

Okay, Mr. Journalist, got a link there to support your claim?

I'm pretty sure there is some rather new articles that M$ is not going with Intel on this one after all.
