I have a 800 Mhz iMac G4. I tried to "spoof" the clock speed in open firmware to 867Mhz, which is the minimum speed needed to install Leopard. After 'spoofing,' the computer froze and, based on advice on the forums, I reset the PRAM. Now the computer does not boot. I cannot boot from the internal HDD. I cannot boot from an OS X install disc (tried Tiger and Leopard). (When i tried booting from Tiger setup disc-holding C during startup-computer would go to the select language screen and then freeze. I was able to to create a disc image of the G4's HD using another Mac with a firewire connection and holding T at startup. I also tried to start the disk utility - holding D at startup - but this did not load either. Do you have any suggestions to bring this computer back to life?
