Premiere Pro or Video Capture on Virtualization

Im wanting to capture AVI video on Windows (mac), then do simple editing (Premiere Pro) and finally convert to WMV (Using Windows Media Encoder). Lastly upload these files to a streaming server (can do on Mac side if needed).

Does anyone have any experience with this, or could try it out? Any other way to get AVI into machine (without converting from QT)? Like using Windows Movie Maker software? Will Virtualization recognize Firewire/Cam setup so it will capture?

Thanks in advance,

Lt Major Burns,
Were looking at buying a laptop, we'd like to get a Mac, but we need to upload WMV's while on the road. Windows Media Encoder has a great function of allowing multiple bitrate streams within one file, a big advantage for us. If Virtulization can work in this process, then we can use the mac OS for most of our other work, and back at the studio.
