Press3 certification for Macintosh (my experience)

PowermacG4_450

OS X Jaguar
Wow, trying to become a MacCSE at press3 is hard work!

The price was right ($99), so I decided to go for it

(to compare, taking a 3 credit college course at the community college would run me an easy $250, and take 16 weeks to complete).

To become a MacCSE, you must pass 3 exams..... OS classic, OS X, and MacOS Hardware...

I came close.... but didnt make it first time. :(

Just wanted to say that they (the questions) were harder than I expected, but... I WILL pass em soon. ;)

I got like 41 questions right, needed 48 out of 60 questions to pass...

I liked the questions, and the process... I recommend this certification process to anyone interested in such a certification. ;)

Thanks!

Have just done my MacCSE, more out of curiosity than anything else (and because it's reduced price:)), and scraped a pass with 49, 49, 52! Questions were a fair bit harder than I anticipated, which I think can only be a good thing to keep the standard up. Was most confident of Hardware, but got my highest mark in OS9!

Just wondering really who else had done the exams, what you all thought of them and how recognised they are? Oh, and your scores! Found articles in MacWorld and thereabouts on them, but not sure how a potential employer would view them, esp here in the UK. Anyone seen a job actually requiring it?!

Its something to pad out the old CV anyway, and these online tests are always fun... Got an IQ of 150 too, making me "gifted", apparently :D This stuff's great for your self esteem!
