Previous system account access!!!

I'v e just had to re-install mac osx on my G4, but I cannot work out how to access my previous system account files, they are of course priveleged access and I cant boot from them......HHHHHHEEELP!!

You can not boot from previous system folder. But, you can access the files you need to move them. Open to the folder you want, go to the file menu>Get Info. Click on Ownership & permissions. Change the owner to your user name and click on Apply to enclosed items.
