print error using quark xpress

greetings everyone!

i'm having a major headache here!

i've installed quarkxpress 4.1 and running it via classic mode (OS 9.2). the problem is, even after i've installed my hp printer by booting from OS 9, the quark xpress doesn't want to print, and keeps giving this error :

cannot find printer (64)

what can i do????

help me please!

Hi pacemaker90,

I haven't used QXP 4.x in ages, so I could be talking a load of rubbish, but try this:

Look in the "Utilities" menu and select "PPD Manager" (if there is one in QXP 4.x – if there isn't, then ignore the rest of this!). Then click on "Use Auxiliary Folder" and point it at the Extensions/Printer Descriptions folder in your System Folder.

That should set up your printers for use in QXP. Now try printing again.
