print jobs fails to finish

I have an Imac desktop all in one unit and I have a pc. My PC is hooked up with the router and the internet connection. I have my mac in the other room. I want to connect my mac wirelessly to the router? My channel is 6 my mode is g and b and I cannot connect? What is up?
 
What is the wireless router you are using?
Can you see the network name for this router in the Airport menu on the Mac at all?
