I have a parallel port printer that i want to add but Mac OSX cannot find my printer ( Canon BJC 4300) . Any tips ?

My motherboard is and old Intel D850MV which have an internal sound chipset based (ADI 1885 AC 97). Red Hat Fedora, FreeBSD 6.0 and windows XP SP2 detect and use it . Mac OSX unfortunately no. Tips ?
