printer doesn't print off internet

My printer works fine when i print something from Word but when I try to print something from the internet (e.g., a map or a recipe), the machine prints blank pages , or prints just a bit of what it's supposed to print.

I have an Imac and am running OS10.4.7. My printer is an HP PSC 2175 all in one printer. This problem has been going on for a year or so, but it never used to do this.
