Printer problem

I switched my EpsonR320 from my PC (where it works fine) to my Mac Mini. I downloaded the proper driver. It just says "communication error" when I try to print. I've tried several printer cables, to no avail. If I bring up the printer window it says "printer ready", until I actually ask it to print and then I get that error message. Any ideas? Thanks! If you are running Leopard, then you should not download anything. The driver for your Epson Stylus Photo R320 is bundled with the OS.
