printer sharing wirelessly, 5MP?

Is there some way that my wife can use my 5MP from here wireless wondoze laptop?
It has no IP adr. I get to it via an iPrint bridge from Farallon.
I have printer sharing on, and she easily gets the internet wirelessly.

so far, I've been unable to make this methodology work.
When I try to add a network printer to the PC with the gimp-print mac-queue-name, the PC finds no printer.
Using the Samba idea doesn't find my Mac, although it does find the wireless router.
Any ideas?

I think you need to give us more details of your network - IP address of each computer, whether printer sharing is on for each, which computer is wireless, etc.

This definitely works, so we just need to identify what's not working.

my G3 is 192.168.2.5
her laptop comes up as .78
printer sharing is on my G3 which is connected to the 802 router.
the 5MP is connected to the router via a Farallon iPrint ethernet bridge.
the PC laptop at .78 is wireless and gets the internet just fine.

on the PC, Add a printer and select "internet printer." for the URI of the printer fill in this: "http://192.168.2.5:631/printers/_mac_printer_queue_name"
Use Apple color laserwriter as the printer driver.
(important points the :631 port number and the correct queue name found by highlighting the printer (in Printer setup/center) and doing Get Info.
Good luck.

I assume I need the leading underscore _ as you've indicated in the IP?
Coz in PSU the queue name is shown as:
HP_LaserJet_5P

No, use exactly what you found in PSU -- I was merely trying to indicate that the queue name would be somehow concatenated like that.

Let me know how it goes!

success! thanks very.
I guess if I wanted to be able to print without the G3 on, I'd need to find a wireless print server as the printer is currently shared thru my G3 to the router.

supposedly this router passes AppleTalk. Prints fine from my G3 and from my Ti when the G3 is on. Is that the only way this will work? Is there some way to configure IP printing so that it will print when the G3 isn't on?

Your problem is that the farallon iPrint dosn't have an IP address - meaning it can't react/respond when IP packets are sent to it. If the printer has a parallel port, get a different print server that connects to that and you'll be in business.
