Hi,
I have one PC & Mac, both connected through D-link 604 router. My routher has no network printer usb port.
I have Lexmark LX+ printer, which has ethernet post, so i have connect ethernet cable with that post to the router.
also i have conneced parallel port cable from PC to printer.
But i don't know, if i want to print from MAC, how can i print?

Also i have another printing problem, i want to create and add a printer in MAC called 'PDF Printer' in my printer list.
I have already installed acrobat distiller.

Can anybody halped me.
Awaiting your communication in this matter & thanking you.

You have a departmental printer that you are trying to use like a desktop printer. You don't need a USB printer port on your router. All you have to do is to connect your Mac, your PC, the Lexmark Optra LX+ to the router via standard CAT 5 Ethernet cables. Run a cable from each device to a LAN port on the router.

Forget the parallel port. You don't need it. You will print from your Windows computer to the Lexmark via IP-printing. Installing your driver for IP-printing is non-intuitive, but relatively simple.

To get the most out of your printer, you should download and install the PPD and PDE files from Lexmark's website. Then, you should launch Printer Setup Utility to set up your printer. This is only a guess, but I expect Bonjour to discover your printer automatically.

Use Printer Setup Utility.
