A couple or three issues here, but I think they may all be related:
Here goes (I'll keep the sentences minimal):
Have a Powerbook G4, a MacBook Pro (and some older iMacs but we'll ignore those).
All happily communicating with both a Netgear router and an early Airport.
Added an Express to play music.
All is fine. Everything working.
Lightening strikes building.
Computers all fine, but BOTH routers stone cold dead.
Buy new Extreme.
All is well.
Express blinking yellow.
Computers don't see it. I assume it was fried as well.
Buy new Express.
Nothing doing.
And if I try to do a "set up" on the MacBook Pro, it tells me my Airport needs to be configured or installed properly. But it is working with the Extreme just fine.
So, decide to forget the Express aggravation and bought a new iPod. Stereo taken care of.
Now we move to printing on the network.
HP psc1315. Computers see it, it seems. But no printing.
Bonjour all set up. Everything restarted a million times.
Powerbook just does nothing.
MacBook gets as far as "jobs stopped" but when you say "start jobs" it just sits there.
Help me.
