my father and i have this disagreement over printing, of which i know little about and he knows less, he is printing with an Epson 785EPX in 10.2.6, whenever a picture is printed from iPhoto or Photoshop they come out terrible, the color is always way off. The picture will be dominated by greens one time then blues the next, it is always random It does however print perfectly from the memory stick holder in the printer. Would this driver problem or a OSX compatibility or color sync problem....it is so confusing arrrg. oh yeah he has Print image matching installed and has to have the EIF information intact i dont know what that really means and i dont think he does either, any help would be appreciated

Printing photos can be tricky. When you select print, the print dialog box is the first place to adjust for the best printed picture.
Under papertype and quality, check to make sure you have the paper set to photo (and make sure you are using a high quality photo paper). Once you have that set, the settings will change automatically for that paper. You can adjust it to a higher print quality. A little experimentation will get you to know exactly what settings will give you the best print out.

When you insert the stick, the printer already knows it is printing a picture. it automatically sets to high quality photo. You need to manually tell the print dialog box what you are printing to get that high quality.
