Problem saving network password to keychain

Hello,

I have been having an issue with my powerbook (10.3.7) connecting to a win XP pro shared drive. Every time i connect to the shared drive it asks me for a username and password. I enter them and check "Save password to keychain" checkbox. But every time i connect to the save shared drive it keeps asking for a username and password again.

Has anyone experienced this issue before? It has always done it even with a previous install of OSX.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Asking for the login and password is common even when you marked "Save password to keychain". It should only have your login and password "prepared" in those field so you only need to click on "connect". However, you might want to make an alias for that drive. Double-clicking it should connect you directly to the drive without any login request. Hope this helps.
