Problem with burnt CD

Hello folks,
New to this community - though I have been using OS X for the past year or so now. Just love it !! Especially after working on the now-crappy-seeming Windows 98 and even OS 9.

Am facing this problem repeatedly with OS 10.1.3. I burn a CD - music mp3s - using the Standard option and everything is fine. But when I try to play it on another Mac, the Mac doesnt seem to recognize the CD at all. The CD icon does not come on to the Finder at all.
But it runs fine when played on a PC !!

Anything I am doing wrong ?

TIA.

Well, I just dropped all ths stuff into my CD icon - and then from the mouse menu (Ctrl Click on the CD), selected Burn CD. Did not use any softwares like iTunes.

Well, that method is not recommended for Audio CDs.
It's okay for data backup but shouldn't really be used for music.
I recommend you use iTunes (which is a free download at APPLE) .
It lets you create playlists and you can burn them effortlessly. You can even choose to make it a mp3 or regular audio CD etc.
Since your CD burner supports Finder burning, it should also support iTunes.

Good luck !

What kind of media are you using (CD-R/RW) and how old is the Mac you are trying to play the CD in? I have a PowerMac 7500 and the drive won't read CD-RW's.
