Problem with Hard drive

I have a mac Alunim 12in 512 ram upgran 40 gig hard drive the "old one"

my computer fell from 1 foot up and hit the ground and it work for about half and hour later then crashed i did a erase and install no errors and didn't boot up did some test on it and i can read and write radomly and write strait through but not read strait through

Please help whats wrong i look through forum no help there

I think the hard drive reading mechanism may have become misaligned in the fall. I suggest you take the computer in to a licensed dealer to have it checked. If it has become misaligned and you continue using it you may not only risk losing data but the HD may become unusable.
